    Hello,

Thank you so much for posting the audio from the Tom Sawyer Spellbinder tape! This is one of my very favorite memories from my childhood! I have searched the internet for many years trying to find this audio and now I can hear it!

I’d like to download it, but the download link isn’t to the Tom Sawyer story, but rather the Daniel Boone story. How can I download the Tom Sawyer audio?

    Thank you!

    • Dave October 25, 2013 at 1:03 am -

Michael, simply right click on the “Or Download Link” and “Save As” to your computer. The file is an .mp3

The link should be fixed now. Cheers!

Can’t wait to hear Tom Sawyer (it’s coming up as Daniel Boone right now…) and Hans Brinker- Both favorites of mine from childhood! Also, do you have Rip Van Winkle and Guilliver’s Travels available?
Thanks so much for doing this!!!

Do you have this in a format other than quicktime? Maybe just a standard mp3 for download or am I missing something?

    • Dave September 20, 2013 at 9:58 am -

Scott, simply right click on the “Or Download Link” and “Save As” to your computer. The file is an .mp3

I’m sure I’m just repeating what everyone else said…but thank you so much. Hearing the first 30 seconds of Tom Sawyer shot me like a cannon back down memory lane. My siblings and I must have listened to that thing 100 times. I can still hear it in my head. Can’t wait to share with my kids. Thanks so much.

You’re very welcome, Joel. Glad I could play time-machine! 😉 Enjoy

Thanks very much Dave for sharing this. We still have the Tom Sawyer Spellbinder cassette tape. Our kids listen to it all the time. I’m glad to find this because that tape will wear out and we don’t have a tape player that we can hook up to the computer.

I tried right-clicking on the “Or Download Here” link, but the link doesn’t seem to work though. I tried using Internet Explorer and Chrome, but no joy. Am I doing it wrong, or using the wrong URL?

Thanks again Dave! BTW-My wife also loved Hans Brinker when she was a kid! She is excited to share with our kids.

    • Dave April 17, 2014 at 2:11 pm -

Thanks Ryan. Did you right click and “save as”?

      • Ryan April 17, 2014 at 2:42 pm -

Yes, I did and the link wasn’t responding. Today I tried again and it worked. Yeah!

This is awesome! I am playing the Tom Sawyer cassette for my boys right now and noticed how it sounds very worn in the beginning. My brothers and sisters LOVED these tapes as kids, Tom Sawyer in particular. You are my hero for sharing these recordings. Now I have to let my siblings know about this site.

    • Dave April 23, 2014 at 4:10 pm -

Thank you Julie!! Keep spreading the word! I too loved these tapes. They never get old.

Thank you SO much for posting this! I’ve been searching for this audio on and off for several years online, guess I haven’t looked since last August. 🙂 I am so excited to have found this…loved these tapes as a kid! I’m still looking for Benjamin Franklin, Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates, the Three Little Bears, and Davey Crockett. If anyone knows where I might be able to find these audio recordings or purchase the Fisher Price tapes ..I’d be extremely grateful. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for putting the old Spellbinder tapes online. I have been looking for these for a long time! Do you happen to have the George Washington spellbinder tape? I didn’t see it on the website but I may have missed it. It was my favorite growing up, along with the other patriotic ones (Benjamin Franklin/Daniel Boone & the American Revolution). Thanks again!
