Jamie Chung (SUCKER PUNCH, THE HANGOVER PART II) has landed a recurring role on season two of ABC’s fantasy drama ONCE UPON A TIME where she’ll play Chinese warrior Mulan. The character originated in the Chinese poem “The Ballad of Mulan” but was made famous worldwide with Walt Disney’s animated film released in 1998.
In the film, Mulan secretly fights in the army in her father’s place to save him from death. Cast members Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Lana Parilla, Meghan Ory and Emilie de Ravin and executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are scheduled to appear at Comic-Con on Saturday, July 14. ONCE UPON A TIME however, makes its return this Fall on ABC.
TUDORS actress Sarah Bolger has joined the season two cast as Princess Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty). Chung, who’s claim to fame began on the MTV reality series THE REAL WORLD will next be seen in PREMIUM RUSH opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the supernatural thriller 7500 and RZA’s THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS.
