Jamie Foxx, whose next film DJANGO UNCHAINED just premiered its first trailer is in talks to play the president in Roland Emmerich’s upcoming thriller WHITE HOUSE DOWN. With a script by James Vanderbilt (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN), Channing Tatum is set to play the Secret Service agent who tries to save the president when the White House is attacked.
The film is produced by Bradley Fischer, Vanderbilt and Laeta Kalogridis for Mythology Entertainment with Emmerich and Harald Kloser also producing. Filming on WHITE HOUSE DOWN is expected to begin this summer for a November 1, 2013 release. In case you didn’t know, there is a rival project with a similar premise over at Millennium Entertainment titled WHITE HOUSE TAKEN which has Gerard Butler attached to star.
