Paramount Pictures’ supernatural horror franchise PARANORMAL ACTIVITY has been a huge cash cow for the studio, with the first three films in the series grossing a collective $576.5M, on a combined budget of only $8M. Wow!
That said, after last year’s record breaking entry PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, a fourth installment in due out on October 19 and today, the film has possibly nabbed its first cast member.
21-year-old Matt Shively (APRIL APOCALYPSE) is in talks to star as the male lead Alex if cast. The characters of Katie and Kristi are slated to return as well but we do not know if they’ll be casting them as adults, children or both. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, who directed CATFISH and last year’s PARANORMAL entry will return to direct PA4 and more casting info should crop up soon.
For those wondering, Shively also starred on the Nickelodeon series TRUE JACKSON, VP.
