A couple of days ago, we reported that JoAnna Garcia (“REBA,” “ROYAL PAINS”) had joined the cast of of 20th Century Fox’s upcoming comedy INTERNSHIP and now Entertainment Weekly (via The Playlist) is reporting that Rose Byrne (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) has signed on to co-star as well. She joins a cast that also includes Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, who previously starred in WEDDING CRASHERS together and Max Minghella (THE SOCIAL NETWORK, THE DARKEST HOUR).

With Shawn Levy (REAL STEEL) at the helm, INTERNSHIP sees Wilson and Vaughn portraying two old school salesmen who find themselves suddenly unemployed and unschooled in the digital world. Yet they try to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at a major tech company. Byrne will play an upper management person who “starts fishing off the company pier” when Wilson starts a relationship with an exec.

Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment and Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Productions will produce the film that is based on an original script by the latter. Jared Stern worked on a recent rewrite.
